Mae fy meiau fel mynyddoedd (Ac fel sêr y nef mewn rhi')

(Rhinwedd y gwaed i faddeu)
Mae fy meiau fel mynyddoedd,
  Ac fel sêr y nef mewn rhi';
Ond mae haeddiant aberth Iesu,
  Yn anfeidrol fwy i mi;
    Er mwyn Iesu, &c.,
  Dyro gysur im' a hedd.

Pa'm yr ofnaf feiau mawrion?
  Trymach ydyw marwol glwy';
Mwy yw gair o enau'm Harglwydd,
  Nac yw myrdd ohonynt hwy;
    Goruchafiaeth, &c.,
  Fydd yn hyfryd pan y dêl.

Tôn [878747]: Bryntirion (Heinrich Roth 1802-89)

gwelir:
  Arglwydd cadarn bydd o'm hochor
  F'enaid egwan paid ag ofni

(The virtue of the blood to forgive)
My faults are like mountains,
  And like the stars of heaven in number;
But the merit of the sacrifice of Jesus,
  Is immeasurably more to me;
    For the sake of Jesus, &c.,
  Give comfort to me and peace.

Why shall I fear great faults?
  Heavier is a mortal wound;
Greater is a word from my Lord's mouth,
  Than is a myriad of them;
    Supremacy, &c.,
  Shall be delightful when it comes.
tr. 2023 Richard B Gillion
